It really depends. But the short answer is probably No.
What does it depend on?
Pretty much, on your guests! In my experience, parties booked on a holiday weekend are not as well attended as those on non holiday weekends. People either usually travel or plan an outing on a holiday weekend, so they are not usually in town for your party.
You may think that because you know they are not travelling, they will likely come to you event, however, many look forward to a day off to do whichever they want to do.
However, if your party is for your family or extended family primarily, you can usually count on them! Those closer to you will enjoy celebrating a birthday or any event with you.
On the plus side for me and for your guests though, when parties are small, I can spend more time painting a design with more detail and precision than when an event is large. Or even do two designs on one kid. And when there are not many children, the adults jump in to get their face painting to take advantage of the opportunity, which puts them in a festive mood!
